Who is Judy?
She was born on 11th November 1945 in Betul Bazar and was named Jaidevi. She passed 8th grade and got married at age 16. A few years later, She boarded a flight to America alone to be with her husband. She was the 2nd passport to ever be issued in her village, followed only by her husband. She learned English on her own while also learning the environment in the US. She did not have resources like Google or the internet to help her. She learned how to drive cars (left hand drive) in the USA out of necessity to take care of her kids and allow her husband to focus on his work and building businesses.
She also helped her husband in all his endeavours - not only managing banking and office management, but also physical labor such as building houses. Can you picture her building walls in a house? She was her husband's co-pilot in every way, both literally when they flew across the world as well as in day to day living. She not only could work at all levels, she demonstrated class when meeting dignitaries to include a friendship with Lillian Gordy Carter, the mother of Jimmy Carter, President of America. She moves with equal ease between the quiet of a temple and the sparkle of a party. She is also the co-founder of the Rukmani Balaji Temple and will turn 80 in 2025.
Starting 2025, Balaji temple will celebrate the top jaidevi turned Judy kinds every year on 11th November. Nominations will be open 24/7 around the year.
"If Jaidevi could become Judy, so can you. Becoming Judy means embracing progress without losing your roots - living with purpose, grace, and contribution."
